Kathleen L. Godin, 69 of Central Falls, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 22, 2022 at Hope Health Hospice Center in Providence, after a short illness. Born in Woonsocket, on April 9, 1953. She was the daughter of the late Beatrice (Martin) Doiron and the step daughter of the late Edgar Doiron.
She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years Donald, and loving mother to their children Brian Sr of Central Falls, Karen Chase (Brenden) of Riverside, Joseph Sr (Crissie) of Central Falls, and Melissa Legendre of Pawtucket. She is also the mother to Eric Richard (Julie) of North Kingstown, and Memere to 11 grandchildren. She leaves her brother John Namaka (Michelle) of Pawtucket, and many nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
Kathleen graduated from Tolman High School in 1971 and CCRI in 1973. She was a stay at home mother and babysitter for many children. After raising her children, she worked at Walgreens Optioncare for many years until her retirement.
We would like to extend our sincere and heartfelt appreciation to Dr Meleveedu, fellow doctors, and nurses at Roger Williams Medical Center bone marrow unit for providing exceptional care throughout her illness. Also to all the outstanding nurses, CNA’s, social workers, and chaplains at Hope Health who ensured Kathy’s final days were filled with compassion, dignity, and love.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 27th from 4pm to 8pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five
Higginson Ave, Lincoln. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Spirit Parish
Church, 1030 Dexter St in Central Falls on April 28th at 9:30 am. Burial will be following at Rhode Island Veteran’s Cemetary in Exeter, RI.
